Piquet gained its popularity by being a rather intricate and challenging card game that require its players to be skilled at multiple game tasks, including declaring cards, melding, remembering the cards already seen, deducing the opponent's cards and trick-playing - in other words, at all the main attributes that any good card player should have.

Piquet is based on changing cards, declaring points, sequences and sets and then playing off the cards as tricks. The points are accumulated for both declarations and tricks, which means that you have to consider both while making your strategy, because balance is vital to winning. Don't worry if you haven't yet figured out how to play this game; the rules are clearly and thoroughly explained in the help file, and there's also an effective tutorial that new players can use when starting this game for the first time.

As all other card games from MeggieSoft Games, Piquet also comes with an impressive number of options and settings. You can customize almost anything, from animations to the card deck, to sounds and even rules and scoring. Online multiplayer mode is also available.

To sum it all up, MeggieSoft Games' Piquet is a great method of spending some free time, good for both avid card game players and casual gamers.
