I never know where to start with the open-ended "tell us about yourself!" parts of profiles. So let's see where this takes us.

For starters, I hardly ever post, and I comment even less. So if you're worried about another journal cluttering up your flist, I can assure you it won't be a problem. :)

I ... used to be a vidder? Well, I suppose I still call myself one, even though I hardly ever actually vid anymore and I don't talk publicly about the process much (since I've almost forgotten how, heh). I do still rec vids occasionally, and squee about Vividcon, and attempt to keep up with the vidding community at large. So there's that.

This journal tends to be about 50% random stuff from my life, and 50% fannish and/or vid-related content. On the life front, I'm a born-and-bred Southerner who's made her home in Chicago. I have a time-consuming and demanding job which I mostly love, two cats, a fondness for alcohol, and a giant television named Geoffrey Tennant. I travel a LOT. I'm an INFP, or at least I was the last time I took the MBTI, but I've become more extroverted since then. I occasionally post about atheism, bisexuality, or various liberal political issues. Most of the time, though, it's either "work sucks omg" or "let me describe the cute thing my cat just did".

Fannishly, I'm a bit all over the place. I used to be serially monofannish, but I think those days are behind me now. I dabble in a lot of fandoms, but there have been very very few Shows Of My Heart that I eat/sleep/breathe/love beyond reason. They are: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Farscape, and due South. At the moment, Community is rapidly approaching inclusion on this list! I'm also pretty excited about: Arrested Development, Battlestar Galactica, Carnivale, Dexter, Doctor Who, Firefly, Hard Core Logo, Legend of the Seeker, Life on Mars, Metalocalypse, Slings & Arrows, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, True Blood, The Venture Bros, Veronica Mars, and The Wire. And well, pretty much everything listed in my interests.
