WHY DID I MAKE A WEBSITE?

i was originally inspired by LoveStar Kei's videos on the indie web, plus seeing the general decline of social media and how everything is so overwhelming, riddled with generative Ai (which is not only ethically ambiguous but horrible for the environment), and just how people are a lot more mean to each other on social media nowadays? so this is my little hideaway where i can express and share my love for things i enjoy with as much freedom as i could possible allow myself :)

i used to use tumblr a lot more back in high school, which gave me an introduction to html/css when it came to theme customizing, so i figured i could try brushing up those skills again via this little project! some things might be broken/still in progress as i am still learning a lot again!

my name is vee, but a lot of people also call me pink online, so feel free to use either to refer to me! i go by she/they pronouns, i'm 27 years old, and i've lived in western australia my entire life.

without getting too specific i work in retail, specialising in the tech and smart device industry. i'm a big hobby collector, and i tend to go in and out of phases of being drawn to particular hobbies (including this website hehe), so it's hard for me to be consistent with things i genuinely enjoy. i'm trying to be semi-consistent with updates on my site, at least until i have a bit more substance on most of my pages!
