About Physician AI Tools
Physician AI Tools brings together the three sides of healthcare innovation — the tools physicians use, the companies building them, and the investors funding the next generation — into one cross-linked, physician-curated directory.
What lives here
- AI tools for physicians — clinical decision support, ambient documentation, imaging AI, prior-auth automation, and more. Each listing covers compliance posture (HIPAA, BAA, FDA), EHR integrations, pricing, and physician reviews.
- Healthcare AI companies — the vendors behind the tools, with team size, funding, headquarters, and the products they ship.
- Healthcare AI investors — VCs, corporate VCs, family offices, accelerators, syndicates, and angels who fund this space. Each profile includes their thesis, stages, check sizes, and (where matched) the AI tools their portfolio companies have built.
- Side-by-side comparisons — head-to-head matrices on every tool pairing in the directory, with feature-by-feature analysis grounded in source data.
The point of cross-linking all three: when you read about a tool, you can see who funded it. When you research an investor, you can see what tools their portfolio companies actually shipped. When you compare two tools, you see the cap tables side-by-side.
If you've built something — submit it
Three submission paths, depending on what you have:
- Submit a tool — listings live in the directory after editorial review. Vendors can request a hands-on physician review for the Clinician Reviewed badge.
- Submit a fund or investor — add a missing VC, angel, or accelerator. Fund reps can claim and edit their own profile after domain verification.
- Founder pitch (Scout program) — building a healthcare AI company and want a warm intro to investors in our network? Submit your pitch. We never share decks without confirming with you first; we reply with honest feedback within 5–7 business days regardless of fit.
If you have an idea but no product yet — talk to us
If you're a physician with an idea for a clinical AI tool, a medical device, or a piece of healthcare software and you want a real team to scope, prototype, and ship it, that's not a directory submission — that's discovery and engineering.
GigHz — the parent organization behind this directory, led by physician and technologist Dr. Pouyan Golshani, MD — partners with clinician-founders to take ideas in healthcare, medtech, and AI from sketch to production. We've shipped clinical workflow tools, FDA-trackable medical-device prototypes, and AI applications across radiology, vascular, oncology, and primary care.

How content gets here
Listings enter the directory through several channels:
- Automated discovery from curated, trusted sources — FDA AI/ML Device List, ACR AI Central, ClinicalTrials.gov, healthcare-AI publications, and SEC funding filings for the investor side.
- Public submissions via the three forms above, moderated by the editorial team.
- Continuous AI enrichment — our pipeline continuously fills in missing data (HIPAA / FDA status, pricing, EHR integrations, fund thesis, portfolio companies) using Gemini grounded in the entity's own published materials. Editors review every proposal before it lands on a public page.
Editorial independence
This directory is editorially independent:
- No paid placements. Tool, company, and investor listings are never influenced by payment.
- No ranking manipulation. Sort orders are based on objective signals (featured status set by editors, user ratings, recency, completeness).
- Transparent methodology. Scoring criteria and review policies are public — see each listing's "How we evaluated" section.
- Reviews are moderated. Real names and valid email required. Reviews containing promotional links, spam, or fabricated content are rejected. Anonymous founder reviews of investors are allowed (and encouraged) but the email stays private.
GigHz disclosure
Physician AI Tools is maintained by GigHz, founded by Dr. Pouyan Golshani, MD, an interventional radiologist at Kaiser Permanente. GigHz develops several physician-focused AI tools and works with clinician-founders on healthcare and medtech projects through gighz.com/intake.
Tools built by GigHz are clearly marked with a GigHz badge in the directory. GigHz tools receive no special ranking, no preferential placement, and no paid lift — they're listed on the same terms as everything else.
