About Racing

As stated in our Club Purpose, “The fundamental purpose of the Club shall be the promotion of and participation in competitive sailboat racing for the enjoyment and educational experience of its members.”  In keeping with this philosophy, Port Huron Yacht Club (PHYC) enjoys a collaborative annual joint race program with our Canadian neighbors at Sarnia Yacht Club (SYC) in the beautiful blue waters of lower Lake Huron.

PHYC is affiliated with various yachting organizations such as LHYA, DRYA, ILYA, etc.  PHYC, an all-volunteer club, enjoys and is proud of the title “Friendliest Club on the Great Lakes.”
