
Author Guidelines
Physical Rehabilitation and Recreational Health Technologies accepts original research articles, reviews, and case reports focusing on physical therapy, rehabilitation, and health-enhancing technologies. All manuscripts undergo a mandatory double-blind peer review process.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Language: Academic English only. Professional translation or proofreading by a native speaker is highly recommended.
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere. The minimum uniqueness threshold is 80% (screened via Similarity Check (iThenticate/Turnitin)).
- Format: MS Word (.docx), Times New Roman, 12 pt, single-spaced, 2 cm margins.
- Original Research: 3,000–6,000 words, 20–50 references. At least 50% of sources must be published within the last 5 years. IMRAD structure is mandatory.
- Review Article: Up to 8,000 words, 50–100 references. Comprehensive coverage of the subject is required, focusing on high-impact international journals. Systematic reviews must follow the PRISMA statement.
- Case Report: Up to 2,500 words, 15–20 references. Only the most relevant studies directly related to the clinical case. Descriptions of unique rehabilitation cases or techniques.
Reporting Guidelines
- CONSORT (for randomized controlled trials);
- STROBE (for observational studies);
- PRISMA (for systematic reviews and meta-analyses).

MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE (Templates)
- Title: Concise and informative (avoid abbreviations).
- Authors (≤ 5): Full names, institutional affiliations (department, city, country), and ORCID IDs.
- Corresponding Author: Full name and institutional email address.
Abstract & Keywords
- Abstract: A structured abstract (200–250 words) including: Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
- Keywords: 3–6 indexing terms.
Main Body (IMRAD)
- Introduction: Rationale, literature review, hypothesis, and clear objective.
- Materials and Methods: Detailed description of study design, participants (sampling), equipment, and statistical analysis methods (should include the following subsections: Participants, Methods, Procedure, Statistical analysis).
- Results: Clear presentation of findings using high-quality tables and figures (min. 300 dpi).
- Discussion (1-1,5 pages): Interpretation of results, comparison with global data, strengths, and limitations of the study.
- Conclusions: Brief summary corresponding to the research objective.
Mandatory Declarations (BEFORE References)
- Acknowledgments: Mention individuals who provided technical/advisory support (not co-authors).
- Funding: Specify the grant or use the phrase: "This research received no external funding."
- Author Contributions: Use the CRediT system.

- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. If none exist, the statement “The authors declare no conflict of interest” must be included.
- Ethical Approval: Ethics committee protocol number. (Templates)
- AI Declaration: Disclosure of the use of generative AI in the writing, editing, or proofreading process. (Templates)
- Data Availability: Information on where the raw data is hosted (or the phrase: "Data available on request"). (Templates)
- Style: NLM.
- Recency: At least 50% of sources must be published within the last 5 years.
- DOI: Active DOI links are mandatory for all sources where available (Correct DOI Description: https://doi.org/....).
- Self-citation: No more than 10% (author) and 5% (journal).
SUBMISSION
- Submission: Via the online system with a mandatory Cover Letter.
- The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the publication of the article is approved by all other co-authors.
- The submitting author is also responsible for ensuring that the paper receives all necessary institutional approvals.
