Requirements

What to Submit

Projects must be school-appropriate and ethical. 

  • Engaging Video Presentation (3-5 minutes):

    • Create a captivating video that effectively explains or demonstrates your project.
    • Showcase the key features, functionality, and benefits of your project.
    • Ensure that the video is clear, concise, and professionally produced.
    • Submit the video as a link, preferably hosted on platforms like YouTube or WeVideo.
  • GitHub Repository or Download Link:

    • Provide access to your project's codebase and any other relevant files through a GitHub repository or download link.
    • Ensure that the repository is well-organized and includes clear documentation.
    • Include instructions on how to set up and run the project, if applicable.
  • Project Description:

    • Write a detailed description of your project, including its objectives, features, and target audience.
    • Explain the problem or opportunity your project addresses within the food industry.
    • Describe the technologies, tools, and methodologies used to develop the project.
    • Clearly outline the contributions of each team member and their respective roles in the project.

  • Theme
    To what extent does the project align with the theme of the hackathon, which is food? How effectively does the project address a specific challenge or opportunity within the food industry?
  • Impact
    Can the project address real-world challenges or opportunities within the food industry? Is there potential for scalability, adoption, or further development of the project beyond the hackathon?
  • Video
    How well does the team present and communicate their project to the judges? Are the key features, functionality, and benefits of the project clearly explained and demonstrated?
  • Quality
    How polished and well-executed is the project overall? Are there any bugs, errors, or inconsistencies in the implementation? Does the project demonstrate attention to detail, usability, and user experience?
