Shan!
Know it's been far too long since I've updated this - hope you've all had a great time at ScaperCon, uh gutted I can't be there.

Heading out for a meal with Hannah's dad in a bit, so this is gonna be short and sweet :)

On the news front, the business is still going well (just taken on first employee!) - playing in a band again, which is great. Oh yeah, and nearly got attacked by some nutcase this morning in a road rage incident - wouldn't mind but it was ME who had the right to be angry with HIS awful driving! ;)

Bleh it's just not on
So you buy a book. You read it. You enjoy it. You like the characters. You think, what the hell, I'll buy the rest of the quartet too. You read them all, great stuff. Until the last few chapters. When for some unknown reason, the author unleashes a swarm of killer plot bunnies, who viciously massacre every storyline in sight, revive your least favourite character from the dead, killer off half the shipper couple who'd just about got it together a few chapters earlier, and otherwise destroyed the good work that went into the previous 2500 or so pages in a meaningless rampage of destruction. "The End". Last time I read anything by a friggin Aussie! Stick to friggin (probably quite literally...) Skippy the know-all psychic bush kangeroo....

Christmas Weekend
Yup, we're having it early. Hence why I had to run round like a blue arsed fly yesterday getting more presents (nothing to do with a complete lack of planning you understand). I've missed you guys (well, girls). People who understand minions without wondering if you're crazy. People who show you pictures of bondage aliens. People who'll happily shout 'monkeyporn' at complete strangers.

Happy Xmas -

Enjoy:

Buhahaha
Woohoo, lie-in today :) (although there's still nothing quite so sweet as a Monday morning one). This week I have mostly been recruiting minions. Business minions. We're getting a lot of projects on the go, (and hopefully a few of them will really start bringing the cash when they're ready) and well, you all know that I've always wanted my own band of ultra-loyal, utterly incompetent minions :)

In other news, have become increasingly irritated with the kids of Liverpool. One of them was messing around and jumped out in front of my car (doing 40mph) the other day and nearly became a smear on the road. This is in addition to the ones determined to make themselves into a gonad kebab on the 10 foot spiked steel fence round the school. Really starting to think that this litigation society needs to be spun on it's head, with a return to natural selection before the stupid truly do inherit the Earth.

Moooooooooo.

Uh
Well, at least there's been a fair result with the popular vote over there this time. More than anything I'm gutted cos there's no way America will be touching climate change and the environment for at least another 4 years - maybe they want that cos the coastal states will underwater first? :)

News News News
Hehe so great to hear from you all! *Hugs* all round. And don't worry, prettymuch whatever happens, even if we don't see each other for however long, we'll always be friends. (well, y'know, unless I like find you eating my pets or something). Oh, and recommendations - Lin's probably told you, but if you ever get the chance to see the shows "MonkeyDust" or "Little Britain" they're absolute class. Musically - try out "Little Black Numbers" by Kathryn Williams.

Phew, where to start? It's been a busy year! About April I finally got completely pissed off with my job, quit, and went freelance. So far it's all went really well, I'm earning twice as much, really enjoying it - just got so much work I'm struggling to cope with it all! Course, I always seem to find time for a lie-in most mornings ;)

I split up with Fiona about February (one of the reasons I didn't post much was she knew the url and kept checking up on me! The wife thing took a *lot* of explaining ;)) which was a shame, but the right thing to do. Strangely enough, I had a brilliant night out with a girl called Steph on Monday and we got on really well, fingers crossed :)

Other than that I've primarily been busy being pissed off with George Bush and his cronies (cmon guys, it's your mess, sort it out! :)). I've got a friend over in Mexico who's always bugging me to go visit (oh such a pain ;)) and even though I'll have to be scanned, tagged, fingerprinted, body cavity searched and whatever just to enter your country, will definitely combine the visits and drop by for Vegas ;)

Like Lazarus after a night on the ale
In the course of human history its been proved again and again across countless generations...that when one of your wives gets on your case, it's usually best to comply ;).

I'm fine, alive, and maybe coming over next year! (Probably under the condition there's been regime change in Washington!)

Me so so baaad
Yes, I'm still alive (although with the hangover I had yesterday, it was touch and go). Just wanted to pop on and say have a great xmas all, there may even be presents by erm...October? Hope you're all well, I'm off to Scotyland for snow and whiskey (and wookie) so I'll try to update more when I get back :) (it could happen)

:)

And remember, if the world didn't suck...we'd all fall off...

Been too loooong
Ok sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busier than, well a very busy thing, but that does have the plus of leaving me with lots of rabbit on about. (Sarah's also been good enough to send me a new piccy of the infamous dance for the journal - Thanks Sar!)

It's late and I'm away all weekend but hopefully either tomorrow or early next week I'll expand on all this then. (yeah right, you've heard that before)

In brief, Egypt good, hot, Fiona sick, zombie infested school, haggle, haggle, history, stop in London, Edinburgh Fringe, Tisha vs Riki Master Uncle Dave, Jam today, Diet coke, too much chocolate, waiter looked like Hightower, Fiona dancing Queen.

There all makes sense now eh!

Laterz :)

Splatterbrained
It's been a really, really weird week here.

An 11 year old kid at the school I work at killed himself on Wednesday night because of other kids (not from our school) bullying him on the bus, although there's a lot of other reasons too (family problems etc). As you can imagine that pretty heavy, but nothing compared to what happens when a whole media circus decends on the place and the school ends up on national television (surreal to an extreme). In fact the Brits amongst you may well have seen it.

Everyone's been very stressed out, we've had to postpone the 6th form prom (which would have been Friday) and I've spent the last few days moving this lad into different areas of our systems so that people don't run into him, last thing they'd need at the moment. (I know his Head of Year and Form Tutor reasonably well, they're both such nice people and they're just devastated)

Other than that, things are ok, the wedding went well, I managed to survive wearing a kilt, scottish dancing and meeting Fiona's parents. We're also off on a cruise down the Nile (gotta love lastminute.com) in a few weeks, see all the sights and should be really good. Have always loved Egyptian culture and history so having the chance to see all this stuff is fantastic.
