Whether you’re drafting your first workforce development plan or updating an existing one, we provide expert guidance to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Workforce planning is critical to ensuring adequate staffing levels, skill sets, ability to respond to public health crises, and to deliver on Foundational Public Health Services. PHAB offers 1:1 consultation to help clients develop a workforce plan. Support may include guidance on conducting needs assessments, using PHAB’s workforce calculator to estimate staffing needs, setting workforce goals, and drafting training plans. Scope and hours are tailored to your organization’s needs.

This full-day, hands-on session walks teams through creating a workforce plan. Using a mix of lecture and team-based work time, participants will begin drafting or revising a workforce plan. This workshop can be offered to individual or multiple organizations.

1 Hour · Virtual

We provide an overview of PHAB’s workforce plan template and user guide, and work with participants to begin planning how to use the template at your organization.

Learn about FPHS assessment tools that can support workforce planning and guide strategic planning efforts at your organization. Tools may include the Capacity and Cost Assessment, Readiness Assessment, and Workforce Calculator, with a focus on ensuring participants feel prepared to take next steps.
