The Princess Grace Hospital application enables patients, with iPhones or iPads, to stream personal videos, photos and music content; as well as connect to social networks like Facebook and Google+, through WiFi on to the in-room television. Also, once the device is synchronised to the TV it provides access and control to on-demand movies stored on the hospitals entertainment system. The Princess Grace Hospital application is uniquely positioned to enable patients to select their daily menu choice and place the order directly into the Hospitals Room Service Ordering centre. Also, requests for additional Housekeeping items such as toiletries etc can be placed directly from the patient s own device.
