Round 6: Merrick/Ward
Last time with the Merrick/Ward family, the kids all had birthdays, a new baby girl was born into the family making a total of 5 Merrick/Ward kids. Daniel continued working on his second LTW of reaching the top of the Military career. Leslie achieved her LTW of topping the Architecture career, and Daniel's brother Andrew Ward joined the town thanks to an ROS. He moved out of this household and into the Wilcox household at the start of Round 6. Let's see what happens this time around!
Daniel and Leslie are busy teaching their very last child all her toddler skills. Luckily, with both parents in perma-plat thanks to achieving LTWs, smart milk is always an option!
Lindsay was really into skilling this round. She spent a lot of time autonomously cooking muffins in her toy oven. And you can see Leslie teaching Ashley how to walk in the background.
Daniel got a chance card on the very first day and got lucky with a promotion to Astronaut.
And there it is.
Teenaged Hannah kept bringing home Jeremy Jackson with her after school. These two are the same age and I would really have loved for them to become a couple, but alas, they have absolutely no chemistry. Darnit.
Brooke finally tapped into her Nature OTH, and spent a lot of time caring for the usually neglected garden.
So much time that she earned her bronze gardening badge.
Hannah spent so much time at school, doing homework, and hanging out with Jeremy Jackson that she often fell asleep into her dinner plate.
The little kids rolled wants to adopt a pet, so meet the newest little Ward, Baxter!
For as much as they "wanted" him, Lindsay and Leo really don't spend much time with their new little puppy!
Since it's now Summer in Bakersfield, the Merrick/Ward family can finally use the pond in their backyard. And boy did they use it. All of them rolled wants through the whole round to go fishing. So fish they did.
Daniel was out there so much that he earned his bronze fishing badge.
Leo rolled a want to learn Lifelong Happiness, so he spent his evenings after school studying for that. He finally learned it! I still don't know what this does for sims...guess I ought to look that up!
The ROS rolled for this round was for Daniel to turn into an Evil Warlock. He looks good all glowy and green. But he was so busy with work and kids that he only got to study for it. He never really used it this round! Although, I am envisioning a dual between him and our resident Good Warlock, Robin Moran.
Of all the sims in this household, only little Lindsay kept up with fishing through the entire round. She got pretty good at it!
And earned her bronze fishing badge as a reward.
Hannah is also a nature OTH, so she started helping Brooke out in the garden and earned her bronze gardening badge.
And then this happened...it's my first big chance card win ever! Leslie answered a chance card correctly and brought home a whopping $50,000!!! Huzzah!!!
And then it was birthday time! Leo became a teen and rolled Popularity with a LTW to top the Law career. He loves the unemployed creative type of girl, but does not like her to know how to cook.
Lindsay also became a teen and chose a Knowledge aspiration like her parents. Her LTW is to top the Architecture career like her mother. She likes men that really know how to cook and that dress all formal-like. She does not like them to have red hair, however.
Leo is a very clean sim and he's always autonomously cleaning stuff. His older sister, Brooke, thinks he's crazy. Probably because she is super messy.
Daniel and Leslie continued to ACR the whole round, but luckily they cannot get pregnant anymore because Leslie is so close to being an elder!
This family also rolled a minor ROS, which made Hannah go on a healthy lifestyle kick. She ate only healthy food all round (salad, fish, etc..) and worked out nonstop. Big sister Brooke helped her build some body skill.
Leo continued his cleanliness obsession and was the only one all round to bathe poor little Ashley.
He also failed a chance card, but only lost some film/lit hobby enthusiasm.
More birthdays! Ashley grew up into a child. She looks a lot like her older sister, Brooke. In fact, I think she's a clone of Brooke because their stats are identical.
Leslie had her birthday too, and became a good looking elder. She aged much better than Larke Wilcox did in the last household, lol.
Her Evil Warlock of a husband still loved her just as much though...wrinkles and all.
Baxter also had a birthday and grew up into a very interesting looking adult dog. I like him!
Like Leo, Brooke failed a chance card and only lost a little cuisine enthusiasm.
Daniel finally came home with that final promotion to General and achieved his 2nd LTW! His 3rd LTW is now to Become a World Class Ballet Dancer! Ha!
With all that money that Leslie won on her chance card earlier, the family upgraded the house. Specifically the kitchen and dining areas which are now big enough to feed the entire Merrick/Ward clan at one time! Daniel celebrated by cooking up some of that delicious fish that the family has been catching all round.
And if you remember from the Wilcox update of this round, Brooke was set up with her best friend's brother while on an outing with friends at the Pizza Place. Aaron Scott and Brooke hit it off big time!
They have a high 2 bolt attraction which I can definitely work with! Yay, one of my playable couples actually worked out!
And they shared their first kiss together on the last day of the round. Awww, I love them already!
And here's the Merrick/Ward family at the end of the round. Daniel will become an elder next round and I think Brooke might be heading off to college at the end of round 7 as well. Thanks for reading!
