Do Not Touch

A short provocation—and an example*—of how to exhibit a concept rather than simply an outcome, and how to dismantle the ‘Do Not Touch’ convention in theatre design exhibitions by actively inviting interaction between visitors and analogue exhibits, such as model boxes.

*the Athens National Theatre’s new building, conceived and designed by Andreas Skourtis and Studio75 Architects as a transformable flexible space that becomes a scenography tool, and the way it was exhibited in the Prague Quadrennial 2011 (awarded a gold medal for ‘best work in theatre architecture and performance space’).
