I have had this journal for two years, I have been friends-only that entire time and I've never made a post about being friends-only. So. I am largely friends only, with rare exceptions. If you would like to friend me, I'd prefer it if you comment here. If you do comment, I will almost certainly friend back. If you friend me without commenting, I will ignore you because I will have no idea who you are.

My journal is about half RL and half fandom, and I use CAPS FOR EMPHASIS a lot.

...And the first time I posted this, I flocked it. That is the kind of brilliant, organized, pulled-together person I am.

So, I know that most of y'all haven't been following skating since the fandom died down, which is cool and all. Since I'm still super into the sport, I figured I would clue you guys in to what you missed so that everyone can talk skating with me forever for your own personal education. Last year, I did that whole primer about who you should be rooting for at Nats, which was fun and all, but this year I'm disgusted with most of the Americans so let's not even talk about them. Let's just watch some pretty skating.

YEAH IT'S GONNA BE A DAY OR TWO BEFORE I STOP BEING UNNATURALLY EXCITED

Hey guys, just so you know I defriended a bunch of people. A couple weeks ago, someone posted information from a locked post of mine in a public area. It wasn't really any personal secrets or anything, but if I lock a post, it means I don't want people discussing it publicly, and it made me really uncomfortable to think that there was someone on my friends list who didn't understand that very basic rule of common decency and trust. It had to do with skating, so I went through and defriended everyone who friended me for skating reasons who I don't know very well or have any reason to trust. I'm very sad that I had to do this, because one of the things that I've had the most fun with in getting into skating is that it's made my flist active and exciting in a way it hadn't been in years, but it was worth it to me to feel like I could safely post on my own journal. I'm very sorry to those people I defriended who were not the ones who leaked the information.
