Software Engineer
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze software requirements and design detailed development workflows and solutions.
- Implement, test, deploy, and maintain both front-end and back-end features, including API interfaces.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, executing and analyzing pipeline results.
- Design and implement security measures for handling health information, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for internal and external communication.
- Contribute to the engineering culture and actively participate in knowledge sharing.
Solution Delivery Engineer
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Maintain a detailed technical understanding of our AI solution and design the right solution architecture that fits customers.
- Implement technical integration efforts with Perceptra’s customers. This role requires coding in Python, SQL, shell script.
- Ensure that Perceptra’s quality of service is aligned with the medical industry’s standard in terms of security and interoperability.
- Fix issues customers faced, such as database, server issues, communication protocol issues. Provide emergency support for customers.
- Communicate with customers facing technical issues and lead the team to fix bugs swiftly.
- Improve Perceptra’s solution delivery process. Collaborate with product development team to surface our vulnerable features and make improvements.
- Maintain servers and network infrastructure of Perceptra, on-site and on-cloud.
Research Assistant (Medical Image)
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in organizing, cleaning, annotating, and formatting medical imaging datasets to prepare for AI model development.
- Work closely with ML engineers to drive data analysis workflows, taking primary responsibility for data analysis through data visualization, pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and clinical expertise, while providing comprehensive summarization of findings to support model improvements
- Conduct literature reviews and maintain documentation of relevant academic papers in deep learning and medical imaging, while assisting with scientific manuscript preparation, submission processes, and IRB requests.
- Help design and conduct small-scale experiments and evaluations under the supervision of senior researchers.
- Write and maintain clear documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate research progress and findings.
- Lead automation initiatives for data processing, labeling, and testing activities by identifying needs and coordinating with ML engineers for tool development and maintenance in support of research objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with researchers, engineers, and healthcare professionals to streamline workflows and optimize research outcomes.
- Stay updated on new developments in AI and medical imaging to support continuous learning within the team.
- Independently manage personal workload and project timelines, proactively communicating capacity constraints or availability for additional responsibilities to ensure optimal team productivity.
Deep Learning Researcher
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Design and implement medical imaging AI systems using deep learning and computer vision to detect conditions from multimodal data
- Drive end-to-end product development with clinical teams – from ideation through data collection, algorithm development, validation, and production deployment
- Publish research findings and implement state-of-the-art algorithms, while contributing to the ML/healthcare community
- Conduct rigorous model analysis, including UX evaluation and statistical validation for clinical efficacy
- Lead long-term research initiatives in medical AI imaging while staying current with latest developments
- Shape team practices and technical standards through peer collaboration and knowledge sharing
Senior DevOps Engineer
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Leadership & Supervision: Supervise and manage internal DevOps projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Infrastructure Architecture & Provisioning: Design, provision, and scale secure and resilient infrastructure in cloud (AWS) and on-premise environments using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Advanced Container Orchestration: Lead both on-prem and on-cloud deployment process implementation of containerized scalable AI application using Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud Optimization & Cost Management: Monitor, analyze and manage cloud budgets to ensure all infrastructure both on-premise and on-cloud are cost-efficient.
- CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) to support automated deployment of software and AI/ML workloads across multiple environments.
- Platform Engineering: Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of internal developer platform, which including toolchain integrations (Identity management, CICD, Secret management)
- Microservices Infrastructure: Support and optimize performance of asynchronous Python-based microservices to ensure cost-efficiency
- Monitoring & Observability: Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, Grafana Tempo) to proactively ensure system health and performance.
- Security & Compliance (DevSecOps): Integrate security best practices into software releasing process with DevSecOps principle to ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001)
- Incident Response & Reliability Engineering: Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, implement preventive solutions, and maintain high system uptime.

- Annotate data related to medical images such as chest x-ray and digital mammography images per instructions from senior staff.

- Adding updated training samples and annotations to the training dataset
- Applying state-of-the-art architectures, modules, or learning methods, that are presented in recent computer vision or deep learning papers.
- Utilizing advanced image processing techniques to improve the generalization performance of AI models.
- Apply coding skills to:
- Analyzing and improving the efficiency, scalability, and stability of training, validation, and inference pipeline
- Adapting the training pipeline to best exploit modern parallel environments such as distributed clusters
- Research, design and develop deep learning and computer vision algorithms to detect a wide variety of medical conditions from image and textual data.
- Support internal large-scale inference activities.
- Fast prototyping of AI models for new medical problems.
- Investigate problems with models during the product development and after product launch.
- Perform unit testing and integrated tests to support accurate and high-performance productions of AI models.
- Read and implement algorithms publications in the field of deep learning and computer vision, as well as publish your own work, and contribute to the community via conferences/meetups etc.
- Perform analytic tasks. For example, analyzing models’ usability from the user experience standpoint, performing statistical tests to convey models’ usefulness to medical professionals
- Participate in long term research efforts, and build excellence in the field of deep learning for imaging data. Keep yourself up to date with the latest practice.
- Contribute to the team’s methodologies, best practices and toolset, share your work and give/receive feedback from peers in the team.
