Pentre Ifan, Pembrokeshire, occasionally claimed to be one of many Arthur’s Stones, Tables or Quoits © C A Lovegrove

Though I’ve worked in libraries, local government, and in schools, I’ve long had an interest in history and archaeology, and in particular the post-Roman period in Britain popularly known as the Dark Ages.

But I also have a life away from Arthuriana. You can see some of that life on Twitter, on Threads, on Blue Sky and on Mastodon. I’m also on Instagram (also as calmgrove) where I post miscellaneous photos.

Calmgrove (my main WordPress blog) is where I explore the world of ideas through books, though at some stage I may be migrating to CalmgroveBooks.
