PDFin by Visual Integrity is a plug-in that lets you open and edit vector-based PDF drawings directly inside AutoCAD as native CAD objects. Instead of tracing or redrafting, you can convert lines, arcs, polylines, text, and layers from a PDF into precise, editable geometry that behaves like it was created in AutoCAD.

Key capabilities:

• Direct import into AutoCAD with no intermediate steps
• Accurate vector-to-CAD conversion that preserves scale, line weights, colors, and layers
• Editable text where possible, with font mapping options to maintain appearance
• Retains page layouts and supports multi-page PDFs

PDFin is ideal for reusing vendor drawings, extracting details from PDFs, updating as-built documentation, and accelerating redlines or takeoffs. For best results, use vector PDFs (generated from CAD or design software). Scanned or image-only PDFs will import as images and are not automatically converted to editable vector geometry.
