PRIVACY POLICY
Welcome to PathRover, a mobile application developed and operated independently by the PathRover team under the ownership of EcoWave Resources LLC ("we," "our," or "us").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect your personal information when you access or use the PathRover mobile application ("App") or related services.
This Privacy Policy is intended to describe our privacy practices and to address applicable privacy requirements in the United States, including state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and other similar state privacy laws, where applicable.

All development, data management, operations, and user services are performed independently by the PathRover team.
1. Information We Collect

- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile photo
- Date of birth, if required for account eligibility, safety, compliance, or age-related features
- Hashed or encrypted password
- Payment and subscription status information
- Device ID, device information, operating system information, and IP address
- App settings and preferences

PathRover does not directly store complete payment card numbers, banking credentials, or sensitive payment authentication details. Payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider according to its own terms and privacy policy.
Location & Navigation Data
Because PathRover is a navigation and mapping application, we may collect and process location and navigation-related data, including:
- Real-time GPS location
- Historical GPS location, where enabled or required for App functionality
- Driving, routing, trail, and navigation behavior
- Saved pins and custom routes
- Distance and measurement data
- Well location search history
- Route recording data
- Offline map usage data
- Approximate and precise location data, depending on your device settings and App permissions
Location data is used only to provide, improve, secure, or support the App’s core functionality, including navigation, route creation, route recording, trail mapping, well location services, offline maps, and related features.
PathRover does not sell location data or use location data for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or resale purposes.
You may disable or limit location permissions through your device settings. However, some App features may not function properly without location access.
Trails & Routes Data
PathRover allows users to create, save, record, and manage custom trails and routes within the TierraNav and WellPath features.
Data collected may include:
- Trail and route details
- GPS coordinates
- Timestamps
- User-generated notes, names, labels, descriptions, or comments
- Saved route preferences
- Route history and navigation activity
- Photos or field documentation associated with a route or location, where applicable
Purpose of collection:
We use trail and route data to provide navigation services, allow you to revisit or manage your saved routes, support route sharing where available, improve route accuracy, enhance map coverage, and develop new App features.
Aggregated and anonymized trail and route data:
We may analyze aggregated and anonymized trail and route data to improve map coverage, identify commonly used paths, improve route recommendations, enhance safety and reliability, and improve the overall quality of PathRover services.
User control:
You may delete your saved trails and routes from within the App where this feature is available. Deleting a route removes it from your account and active user profile. However, anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you may remain in our systems for service improvement, analytics, safety, research, or operational purposes.
Camera, Photos, Videos, and Media Access
The PathRover App may request access to your device camera, photo library, videos, or media files only when necessary for a user-initiated feature, such as:
- Capturing or uploading photos related to routes, trails, locations, field conditions, oilfield sites, support requests, profile images, or other App functionality
- Documenting navigation activity, location conditions, route issues, hazards, or field notes
- Uploading images for support, troubleshooting, or account-related purposes
- Associating photos or field documentation with saved routes, pins, trails, or locations
PathRover does not access your camera, photos, videos, or media files in the background.
PathRover does not collect camera, photo, video, or media data unless you actively choose to use a feature that requires such access or grant the relevant permission.
Photos, videos, or images you capture or upload through the App may include associated metadata, such as date, time, device information, GPS location, or other embedded information, depending on your device settings.
Such content and metadata may be used only to provide, improve, secure, or support the App’s core functionality.
PathRover does not use photos, videos, camera data, or media files for advertising, marketing, user profiling, resale, or unrelated purposes.
You may deny or revoke camera, photo, video, or media permissions at any time through your device settings. However, some App features may not function properly without these permissions.
Where supported, PathRover may use the device’s system photo picker or similar privacy-preserving tools to allow you to select specific photos or videos without granting broad access to your full media library.
