~Gym News~
Well, there’s been a bit of time passed since the last completed patches and it almost seems like nothing’s happening…but I know that people are stitching when (and where) they can!
Hoping to see the first completion from HeathyChan in the next few days – she’s given me a sneak preview of her Magnemite/Magneton and I can say it’s looking excellent! She only started stitching in April, but she’s taken to it really quickly! 😀
Brityboo‘s Bulbasaur evolution set is coming along very well, too, and that will look great when done.
I’m working on Tentacool/Tentacruel (or I would be, if I wasn’t posting this!) – which I hope will be just as good as all the other patches 😉
And of course there will be more patches popping up shortly…
In other news…
The logo patch has been chosen – congratulations to Penwen and his very nice design!
He’ll receive a prize, a forum badge and general kudos among the group…not to mention that his design will be the 81st patch on the quilt!
No doubt there’ll be something to post very soon, so please check back often! ❤
Elites, Birds and Rocks!!
Sounds like it could be a band name to me…but it’s the three latest complete Gen. I patches!!
Here we have Craftymaster90’s Agatha/Lance, Brityboo’s Pidgey evo and Anna Marie’s Geodude evo – congrats to all! 😀
These three patches bring our total to 19!
In other news…
Voting has begun on the submitted designs for the logo patch! We have five contenders, and voting ends in two weeks’ time! The winner will receive a prize as well as seeing their patch design go into the Gen I quilt! 😀

I’d just like to add a quick reminder that we are holding a contest at the forums – to design the logo patch! Everyone’s welcome to enter (whether you’re stitching or not!) and there will be a prize up for grabs! 😀

Blaine/Giovanni patch, a competition and news!!
Well done to Craftymaster90 for completing another patch – this time of Gym Leaders Blaine and Giovanni.
That makes 13 patches complete now. Our target of 81 seems like a long way off, but we’ll make it. Especially since we have so many awesome stitchers working their fingers off right now!! ^^
In other news…
All patches have now been claimed! Thanks to everyone who volunteered to stitch, or just joined up to support us. And thanks also to everyone who visits the blog!
It’s competition time again at the forums. This time, we want people to come up with the logo patch for the quilt – a little square to represent ourselves 😀
As before, the competition is open to everyone, stitching or not, and we invite everyone to participate! There will be a prize up for grabs (although that prize will be a mystery for now) as well as general kudos and props 😀

Badge contest results and more complete patches
The badge contest ended today and we have a winner! Congratulations to Holder of Anime, whose winning design will be used as our official logo!

Well, since the last post there’s been a whole bunch of completed patches, as well as more progress on the current ones.

Since last week, our member list has grown – welcome to corbin, LilMissFirefly, EveningEmma, and Eliste!
Holder of Anime has the special honour of being the first to complete a patch, so well done to him. It’s the Charmander evolution set, as you can see here:
I’ve also added a number of progress pictures to the WIP gallery in the last few days and it looks like the first group of patches will be of a high standard! 😀
We now have a dedicated project forum, http://www.patchworkgym.com/forums/index.php. Big thanks to Faewren and her husband for doing the hard work getting it set up!
And to coincide with the opening of the forums, we are having a gym badge design contest! The badge will become our official logo and will be used on many things! All entrants are welcome – you don’t have to be stitching a patch to get involved 😀 Head over to the forums and check it out in the Competitions board – there will be a prize for the person who submits the winning design!
