Homelessness is a complex issue that can take many forms.
Katie’s story
Katie – who fled Ukraine during the war – recently became homeless after a cancer diagnosis left her without employment or a place to live.
Since then, our teams have helped Katie to secure permanent accommodation, receive financial support and link in with Macmillan Trust for support with her diagnoses.

Uncovering the links between homelessness and human trafficking globally
Five years of data reveals that over 75% of victims of human trafficking identified by The Passage, had become homeless as a direct result of their exploitation.
By its very nature, human trafficking does not respect international borders and The Passage has therefore embarked on collaborative mapping work in major international cities to establish if, as in the UK, there is a proven link between homelessness and human trafficking.
The first in a series of reports has just been launched, exploring these links in Ireland.
