PEER+ Network

Working groups and communities of practice

CPC’s PEER+ Network consists of communities driven by innovation and leadership. By bringing people together to connect, share, and collaborate, these networks empower both parks and the people who steward them to achieve new levels of excellence. PEER+ communities are accessible through two distinct platforms:

  1. CPC CommunitiesDedicated spaces exclusively for employees of park agencies

  2. PARKS+ CommunitiesOpen forums designed to foster collaboration beyond park agency boundaries

CPC PEER+ Communities

CPC member exclusive

At a glance:

  • Open to CPC members; CPC membership is available to all parks employees
  • Communities thrive through interjurisdictional collaboration and engagement
  • Two community formats available:

Communities of Engagement

Members are self-selected, with each community’s purpose and objectives shaped by its members. Some communities exist simply to share ideas and build connections, while others may take on specific challenges or projects. New communities are formed on an ongoing basis, at the discretion of CPC’s capacity to support them.

Communities of Practice

Members are commonly graduates of the CPC Leadership Development Program, however, are open to all parks professionals looking to actively connect with peers across the country. Each group defines its own goals and outcomes, driven by the interests and priorities of its members.

Working Groups

Members collaboratively work together towards a shared objective and tangible outcomes. Members are elected and outcomes are defined by the CPC Board.

PARKS+ Communities
