In 1990, Skip Papa opened PAPA Advertising’s front door, a modest three-room office on West 26th Street. Initially, PAPA operated as a design firm specializing in the creation of logos, brochures, trade advertisements, packaging, and other print materials. Our early clientele included local brands like Hamot Hospital, Case Knives, LORD Corporation, Quaker State Oil, and Troyer Farms.
In 2000, PAPA strategically transitioned from a design-focused firm to a comprehensive full-service agency. This evolution allowed us to address the entirety of our client’s advertising needs, forge strategic marketing alliances with larger clients, expand our geographic reach, and establish ourselves as experts in brand management.
In 2018, Liz Papa and Jason Keller took over, pushing the service footprint and creative capabilities further with new connections and new team members. Some of the many regional premier brands we serve today include LECOM, Country Fair, Red Letter Hospitality, Beaumont Technologies, Reed Manufacturing, Essentra Components, ERIE Strayer, expERIEnce Children’s Museum, Farmulated, Viking Plastics, Wm. T. Spaeder Co., and MFG Tray. Our expansion into the Midwest has seen us serve notable brands such as Falcon Plastics, DeKALB, ACS Group, GS PlantOptics, and GBIE.
We take great pride in our unwavering dedication to earning and sustaining trust through our unique problem-solving methodology, regardless of the size or location of our clients. Although our crew is made up of equal parts nerd and legend, we sure do love what we do and feel profoundly fortunate to rise each day and continuously challenge the boundaries.
Advertising and all that it entails has been a topic of wonder, conversation, study, and celebration for as long as she can remember having grown up in the industry. Skip Papa, her father, founded Graphic Works in the early ‘80s with a partner and later opened PAPA Advertising as a sole practitioner. Liz spent many summers in the office helping with small production tasks, and officially joined the team as an intern in college. Today, she is the company’s Creative Director.
Liz is an Erie native and an Edinboro University / PennWest University alum.
