Studio applications

PP/S currently accommodate up to 46 artists across two Dublin 8 locations, The Coombe and Thomas Street. Both locations are a short walk from the city centre, Christchurch and the National College of Art & Design and IMMA. Studio members can avail of high standard, affordable spaces for flexible periods from 6 months to 3 years.

These spaces provide 24 hour access, in secure, safe, off-road locations with excellent services: hi-speed broadband, fully alarmed buildings with security gates, intercom, keypad/key fob access gates, and electricity, heating & lighting included. The studios feature a range of spaces, excellent natural light, high ceilings, and extensive communal areas. Current and past studio artists are featured on the Pallas website.

Studio memberships are awarded throughout the year, as spaces become available. You can register your interest via the form below, and find out about the criteria, application process and facilities.

Register interest

Application process

Our studios are awarded throughout the year, as spaces become available. Studios are offered for flexible periods from a minimum of 6 months up to 3 years. In special circumstances artists can apply for membership extensions.

Artists can register their interest via the form on our studios page, and those fitting our criteria will be contacted once a space becomes available.

At the application stage, artists will be asked to submit a CV, biog and a selection of images. Applications are assessed and studio membership offered based on suitability, track record and/or potential.

Please see announcements on our website or social media, or you can email for more information.

Criteria

PP/S provides studios to Visual Artists who can demonstrate their practice through their track record and/or potential, such as recognisable practice & study-paths.

The Arts Council considers visual arts to include a range of media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, live art/performance, film, video or other digital imaging media. To be considered a professional arts practitioner you might not earn income continuously or exclusively from your artistic/curatorial practice, but you must identify yourself, and be recognised by your peers, as a professional practising artist, curator, or practitioner. If we receive applications from disciplines outside of the visual arts, these will not be considered.

Please note: Commercial creative fields such as commercial photography, design, animation, as well as music, TV/Film, fashion, or craft-based practices are not considered within our remit.
