Paessler Multi Server Simulator is a Windows-based utility from Paessler AG that lets you simulate large numbers of network services on a single machine. It can spin up multiple instances of common TCP/IP services—such as HTTP, FTP, SMTP, or DNS—each listening on its own port, allowing you to model complex environments without deploying additional hardware.
The tool is designed for testing and demonstrations, particularly for validating monitoring configurations, alerting behavior, and capacity planning with PRTG Network Monitor or other monitoring solutions. You can quickly define how many virtual servers to start, run and stop them individually or in groups, and simulate service availability scenarios to observe how your tools respond. It’s easy to set up, lightweight, and well suited for labs, proofs of concept, and training.
