Set Top Box Testing
ITU G.1050 and TIA-921B are standards that use real-world data from service providers to develop network simulation (network emulation) models. Using these standards, users test susceptibility of a Set Top Box (STB) to real-world network impairments based on (packet loss, jitter, delay, burst packet jitter and loss, etc). In addition, the standards are used to test and capture video quality issues in the presence of real-world network impairments and provide a test environment for evaluating and trouble-shooting STBs.
