Although some of the course content was by design relating to research/literature parameters the instructor was able to give real world clinical shop floor application examples.

Very engaging instructor and lab assistant!   Lab Manual was excellent!  Loved all the real-life examples!  Due to [the instructor] Travis’s experience, the way you handle any type of patients is great information especially to the younger clinicians in the class… Patient management is truly an ART combined with science.  That “art” comes with perspective and years of treatment!  (Particularly with difficult personalities and multiple co-morbidities which are prevalent today). [This course] helped me understand many of the things I currently do are evidenced based and gave great information on how to prescribe even better! Learned some unique exercises!

I enjoyed a strong emphasis on lab components with interactive demonstration and opportunity to practice hands on skills that I will be able to apply to patient care.

Some people say that if you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room. I was definitely in the right room. Trisha, as a person and instructor, was delightful and knowledgeable, making what could have been a daunting 2 days, more lively and engaging. Definitely the component I enjoyed the most was her ability to give life to the manual as opposed to using it strictly as a script.

I would like to continue with certification and eventually fellowship before I call it quits with physical therapy.  I feel that the Maitland approach makes sense and is logical.

The in-person attention to detail w/ isolating recruitment of muscles was fantastic. Trish was a great instructor- she made things clear, simple and precise. Plus she’s funny, so it’s easier to pay attention.  What a fantastic class! I now have a solid understanding of the use of low load, long duration exercises to maximize stabilization, and how to appropriately progress stability with the end game of also being able to use global muscles.   My mind was blown with a new approach to rotator cuff engagement.

The live session was very informative, and the instructor’s teaching method was effective and helpful. I feel a lot more comfortable with joint mobilization in the spine, and I appreciate the framework for assessment and clinical reasoning.

What I liked most were the hands-on techniques and the instructor was very helpful and knowledgeable, not very intimidating and very approachable with the desire to impart knowledge to fellow clinicians… Makes the course easy to understand/simplify it to become less confusing. Thank you!
