The strike sees Allen fall into a nine-month comma and on waking up, he learns he can move at superhuman speeds!
The Flash begins with Barry Allen, a CSI for the Central City Police, struck by lightning after an accident at the local science lab culminated into a cloud of energy that hit the entire town, putting him in a 6-month coma, and eventually giving him, alongside many others, superhuman powers.
The three scientists, Caitlin, Cisco and Wells who are left at the obsolete STAR Labs team up with Barry in a bid to safeguard people from the newly fabricated destructive meta-humans.
Barry’s foster sister and best friend, Iris, ends up dating her cop father Joe. Despite Barry having admitted his love for her, Iris decided to stay with Eddie even though she felt conflicted. The show comes to an astonishing climax that sees the team discover through Cisco’s murder memories in the lost alternative world, that Wells was indeed the Reverse-Flash, and his speed powers were actually back! Eddie is then kidnapped by Wells, who then brings to light his footing as a time-traveler. To complicate matters even worse, Wells, who is now a known time-traveler, reveals that Eddie is his ancestor and Iris will marry Barry in the end!
