Ghosts of the Olde Towne Ghost Walk tell their tales of love, loss, murder and mayhem! Patrons are guided on a walking tour through the historic distric of Olde Towne, Portsmouth. At each haunted house visitors hear costumed actors retell the legends of ghostly visitations and things that go bump in the night! This tour is family friendly. It’s spooky, not scary. No one jumps out to scare you.The ghosts of the Olde Towne Ghost Walk only appear once a year on the Friday before Halloween! Ticket’s are $15 before October 1st and $17 after.

Ghost Walk 2025 FAQs
There is FREE parking in municipal parking garage on Middle Street. Additional Parking is available at the County Street Lot behind the Children’s Museum. Due to the event, on-street parking in the Olde Towne business district will be very limited so reccommend you select one of the previously mentioned lots.
On September 1st, tickets will be available to purchase online. Early-bird tickets are $15 per person purchased before October 1st, and $17 per person after October 1st. Children under 5 years old are free. Limited tickets will also be sold at the door. The only way to guarantee a spot is to purchase in advance online, but clear your schedule because tickets are non-refundable.
We’re not here to tell you how to live your life, BUT limited tickets will be sold at the door. If you want to be sure to see this once-a-year event then, please, pre-purchase tickets online. We sell out every year. If you are planning on coming in a large group make sure you buy enough from the same 1/2 hour time slot to accommodate all attendees.
Upon arrival, please visit the check-in table at the Ghost Walk Bazaar and show your email confirmation to get your tour wristband. You must get a wristband prior to your tour time.
Tours begin and end at the in front of Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 Court Street, Portsmouth, VA, at the intersection of High Street & Court Streets in downtown Portsmouth.
We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour time in order to check in and get the colored wristband. Please queue up in front of Trinity Church with your wristband 5-15 minutes prior to your tour time.
Example: a 5:30 ticket will have a start time of 5:30, 5:37, 5:45, or 5:52. Groups of about 40 will see the first 2 stories together and then will split into two smaller groups of about 20 to go on either the East or West route.
The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and will begin and end at Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 Court St.
Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. You may wear a costume if you’re feeling festive but please keep it family friendly. Additionally, please consider other guests’ ability to see around you.
We love pets, however, we ask that you leave your scaled, furry, and feathered friends at home for this event to ensure the comfort of all our guests.
This is non-smoking tour. Please no cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or vapes. Thank you for your cooperation!
The show must go on! Tours will will be held in moonlight or rain.
Cameras are welcome, but please be courteous to our actors, your fellow tour guests, and home owners. This is a residential area. Houses are private property and not open to the public.

The Ghost Walk Bazaar is Back!
Come early or stay late! Ghost Walk Bazaar will be open from 5 – 9:30 PM. This spooktacular Bazaar features curated vendors and entertainment especially for Ghost Walk. The Bazaar is free and open to the public. Stay a spell and visit all the haunted happenings. Your tour will begin and end at the Ghost Walk Bazaar.
