Process Preparation
- Kick-off meeting with Client to better understand their objectives and requirements.
- Definition of the key conditions to request from potential offtakers.
- Selection of potential PPA counterparties, jointly with the Client.
- Elaboration of a RfQ package, including process description and bidding options.
- Support in the definition of commercial terms and/ or contract with the Clients’ legal team.
PPA tender management
- Our role as primary contact for all interactions with the bidders.
- Optimize Energy keeps updated the Client about process, besides its direct participation in communications with the bidders.
- A shortlist of 3-4 bidders shall be identified in order to go ahead with the final tender phase and full detailed analysis of their bids.
Analysis
- Assessment performed jointly with the Client for shortlisting.
- Full detailed qualitative and quantitative assessment of the shortlisted bids.
- Qualitative assessment based on process compliance, credit profile and degree of acceptance of the terms and conditions.
- Quantitative assessment providing tools and metrics for fair bid comparison, based on realized price probability distributions.
Negotiation and closing
- Support to Client and its legal advisors during the contract negotiations with the selected bidder.
- Support to Client in conversations with lenders and lenders’ advisors, aiming at obtaining approval of the PPA negotiated
