At OPTIMA, we are shaping the future of optimisation by connecting brilliant minds with real-world challenges. Over the past four years, we’ve trained and mentored a new generation of optimisation professionals, embedding students directly into industry to work on projects that matter.

Our collaborations with partners such as AGL, Melbourne Water, South East Water, Mecca Cosmetics, and many more have delivered practical solutions to complex problems – from improving energy systems to streamlining supply chains and enhancing sustainability. At the same time, our tailored training programs have equipped over 150 members with the skills to think critically, work across disciplines, and drive innovation in diverse sectors.

By bringing together researchers, students, and industry, OPTIMA has become a dynamic hub where academic excellence translates into measurable impact, building a stronger, smarter future for industry and society alike.
