Digital Information for Homebuying represents a £14.1bn opportunity to the UK Smart Data economy. Indepedent research published by the Department for Business and Trade identified property as the number one use case to deliver a net social value of £28.7bn over 15 years and to drive annual GDP contribution of £2.06bn by 2043.
Our mission is to realise that value for consumers and industry by promoting the sharing and safe use of trusted property data, and to provide the collaboration and innovation framework across stakeholders and industry. We believe that smart data, technology standards, and trust framework principles are essential for making informed decisions about property, whether you’re a buyer, seller, lender, intermediary, surveyor, or conveyancer.

The Open Property Data Association (OPDA) is the UK’s independent and not-for-profit industry body for companies revolutionising the property industry through data collaboration.
Our members are the leading voice for smart property data in the homebuying and seller sector by supporting the creation and adoption of open data, technology, and trust standards to create a digital, efficient, and trusted home moving sector that works better for everyone.

We actively convene collaboration and engagement with our members, lead workstreams for the Digital Property Market Steering Group, sit on the Smart Data Council and the Home Buying Selling Council, to deliver and promote the Smart Property Data Trust Framework.
We lead on digital transformation, we build the collaborative ecosystems that facilitate improvements in the home moving experience, we create and govern the standards that drive innovation, create interoperability with other trust frameworks, and foster strong relationships with the government departments working with property data.
