Winning projects require a bit of planning. To ensure we have the opportunity to review your project in the OpenAI Open Model Hackathon, we have some Tips for Planning Your Project and the below rough timeline for when to start different activities:

 Brainstorm (Today)
 Pick an idea (Tomorrow)
 Quick design and how it might work (by mid-late August)
 Start building (August 25th)
 Start your submission (by the end of August)
 Finish up your project (over the weekend September 5th - 7th)
 Record your demo video (September 8th)
 Finish submission (September 11th)
