About

I am like everyone else, but then I am not. I like to ask questions and I like to challenge our belief systems. I often ask people “why?”, but not more often than I ask myself. Sometimes I like to tell a story without any interpretation or opinion, and at other times I like to express my thoughts about me, you, them and the world.

    Rachel – happy, happy Birthday, my friend. May you be surrounded by warmth, laughter, and love not only today, but in increasing measure throughout the coming year. You have been such an inspiring voice on my poetry, it is both a grand compliment and humbling that you should choose on of my poems as your birthday poem.
    I value your online friendship and support. Always know that such support and encouragement will always be a two way street. Again, Happy Birthday, Rachel. Own it!!!

      Thank you so much! However, it’s my fault that i didn’t post my reluctance to get into the award system. It feels to my just like being nominated to be in a beauty pageant. I should post something about not wanting to be nominated, but I so appreciate your nomination. Especially because I respect your writings.

        Personally, I like these awards. They give me the encouragement I need to stick to writing my blog. But I do agree: to each his/her own.

        I would post your reluctance to receive rewards right under what you’ve sad about who you are at the start of this page. I felt the same way when I was first offered an award. Not that I thought it was like a beauty pageant. But it definitely made me uncomfortable.

    Rachel, thank you for stopping and liking a recent post. I enjoy a good story and things that challenge my beliefs. So, I look forward to following your blog and gaining more insight into what makes a good story and those things which provide Ah-ha moments and do shift what I think is or is not.
