HELLO!!! I did a little work on the Space Shrine!! I wanted to get at least something made for it after spending all of yesterday completely fixated on the Artemis II mission! Right now it's just a collection of photos from the mission which I really like, but I would like to keep expanding it with more about Artemis, and eventually more about space in general :D

A lot of the Guestbook things I can find have quite a few limitations compared to chattable (the one ive been using for quite a while now). Chattable as a whole was so reflective of why I love the indie web, it's sad it got targetted by people who don't know what fun is. :[
With that said, I'm looking into alternatives, so hopefully the guestbook will be fully functional soon :]

Wow its march that feels weird. Small update today! I have changed most of the glassy effects on the site. They used to use CSS backdrop-filter for the blurring, but that doesn't have great performance on devices that are getting old now, and it fully doesnt work on super old devices. While old devices aren't target hardware for me, I'd still like my website to be at least decently usable on as many devices as possible. Anyway, I replaced the backdrop-filter CSS with just jpeg images lmao. I used ImageMagick to blur my background images and convert them to jpeg, then changed the glass elements to use those images for their backgrounds, and it worked great! Open this site on the oldest device you own!

Working on some visual updates to the site! Mainly on the Misc page, but also a little site-wide too! (new hover animations hehe, they're now snappier AND bouncier)
I am also DEFINITELY NOT working on some new stuff for the Archive.... but that stuff WHICH IM NOT MAKING might take a while IF I WERE MAKING IT WHICH IM NOT....

I wanna make a page about degoogling, easy steps to take back some privacy and touch on ownership. I think it'll be nice to just let myself make a new thing on the site that isn't part of anything that already exists here, like it wouldn't be a blog post, it wouldnt be a section of a page, just its own thing. Also i have SO MUCH TO SAY about this topic too. Hopefully i can start on that before the heat death of the universe...

ok so uni has been making me much more tired than I had anticipated, so I'm gonna just assume that weirdweb might not be going very far this year.
once I'm more used to the schedule and also doing literally anything every day I'll be back to my regular web sit shenanigans, but until then stuff might be a little slow just for the sake of me not exploding.
OH I also got the next song of the week queued up already so all I have to do is upload the page and it'll update on sunday >:]

I joined the Verdantville Webring! (You can see it over on the right there) Its a webring for green sites, which mine happens to be, and I highly recommend browsing through them because they're really cute :D

Weird Web October is already proving to be a struggle due to My Affliction (adhd) and Uni, but I'm not gonna let that stop me from doing it. Even if it's not anything crazy, I still want to make something each day, and im ok with it only being small.

Tried using the Neocities CLI to push the latest update to the site (and again for this one), so if anything is broken or weird, that just means something I was halfway through working on got pushed because I dont yet understand how to properly exclude folders when pushing updates with the CLI.

I'm hoping to get my shrines page up in a few days. It'll only be the index page for my shrines, and some placeholder shrine pages. I'm hoping that will give me the motivation to start gradually adding to them overtime instead of only releasing them when they're done (which at this rate would be never).
