Olive Tree opened our doors in 2014 in Antalya, Türkiye and began seeing clients for intensive counseling from surrounding countries. For the next 10 years, Olive Tree grew and flourished along the Mediterranean coast, providing life-giving pastoral and clinical counseling to over 2,000 cross cultural workers serving in over 100 different countries around the world!
In 2024, due to ongoing visa concerns for our staff, we made the difficult decision to move our counseling office to Budapest, Hungary. We re-opened our doors in March 2025 after replanting ourselves along the Danube. Our vision to provide transformative counseling to workers in Western Asia, Northern Africa, and Eastern Europe (and beyond) remains the same, and we are grateful for the space to provide this care from a new location.
OUR HISTORY
OPENING IN 2014 IN ANTALYA, TÜRKİYE
In 2014, we opened our doors in Antalya, Türkiye and began counseling cross-cultural workers from around the world. Over the next 10 years, we saw over 2,000 clients serving in over 100 different countries around the world. Our staff grew to 5 licensed clinical therapists, several associate counselors, and four support staff handling intake, communications, reception and more. Not only have we provided pastoral and clinical counseling for children, teens and adults, but we’ve also been able to provide consulting and debriefs for teams, trainings, a myriad of webinars for workers and member care providers and much more.
DECISION TO RELOCATE OUR OFFICE
Unfortunately, due to rapid changes on the ground for our staff and uncertainties mounting around visa denials in 2023, our Board of Directors started considering the need to move our office to a more stable location. Several sites were considered, with the expressed desire to continue providing quality, accessible care for workers in Western Asia, Northern Africa, Europe, and beyond. Our vision remains the same – to provide ongoing, professional Christian counseling and care to our community of global workers.
In December 2023, we made the decision that we needed to move our offices to another country and announced that are relocating to Budapest, Hungary in 2024 with the prayer for long-term stability and opportunities for growth of our counseling services!

WHO WE SERVE
Our mission is to provide professional counseling for cross-cultural workers serving in Western Asia, Northern Africa and Eastern Europe, although we see clients from all corners of the globe. We are an easy 2-hour flight from Istanbul International Airport (a major hub from around the world) and will provide resources and helpful information about the area to help you set up your time in Budapest.
LOCAL CLIENTS
If you are living in Budapest and interested in counseling, we recommend first considering setting aside two weeks for our standard intensive counseling in the mornings or afternoons. If that is not possible, we have limited space to consider local clients meeting once a week for 3-4 months total.
WE ALSO PROVIDE
In addition to our intensive counseling for individuals, couples, children, and families, we provide regular articles, webinars and video resources to use on your own. These are all available on our website for free! We hope that you as member care providers, ministry leaders, and workers who will not be able to come to us for counseling can find these resources to serve you well from your corner of the globe.
