The Order of Christian Initiation (OCI)

The Order of Christian Initiation (OCI) is a process of spiritual and educational formation for those discerning a call to follow Christ in the Catholic Church.

At Old St. Mary’s, we welcome:
Adults who have never been baptized
Adults who were baptized in another Christian tradition and wish to become Catholic
Teens in grades 7–12 who are seeking full initiation into the Catholic Church
Children (typically age 7 and older) who were baptized but have not received formal faith formation or the other Sacraments of Initiation

Each track of OCI is thoughtfully designed to support individuals in their journey of faith through prayer, community, learning, and reflection.

If you are interested in becoming Catholic, please reach out to Elise Flick, Director of Lifelong Faith Formation, at elise@oldstmarys.com.
