I have MC363dn and Actkey used to work well with it. No changes have been made but I now get the message 'cannot get device information - check scanner then'cannot open data source - check connection'. The correct scanner driver is identified in Actkey. I can work the scanner direct using the Windows Device process. I am using a network connection. The OS is WIN10.

The issue you are experiencing with the "OKI ActKey" program not being able to get device information could be due to a few possible reasons. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Network Connection: Since you are using a network connection, ensure that both the printer/scanner and your computer are connected to the same network. Restart your router if necessary and check the network settings on both devices.
Device Power Cycle: Turn off the MC363dn printer/scanner, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes a simple power cycle can resolve communication issues.
Firewall and Antivirus: Check if your firewall or antivirus software is blocking the connection between the ActKey software and the scanner. Try temporarily disabling them to see if it resolves the issue.
Reinstall Drivers: Even though the correct scanner driver is identified, reinstalling the drivers can sometimes fix any corruption or misconfiguration that might have occurred. Download the latest drivers from the OKI website and install them.
Software Update: Ensure that both the ActKey software and the printer firmware are up to date. Check the manufacturer's website for any available updates.
Test with Another Program: Since you can scan using Windows Device, try using another scanning application to see if it works. This can help identify if the issue is specifically with ActKey or a broader issue.
If none of these steps work, consider contacting OKI support for further assistance.
I set it, but when I click Application1, it scan only one page and automaticaly stops -> open the pdf file. It only works without ActKey, by button setting on printer. (OKI MC352)

It seems that there might be an issue with the OKI ActKey program for Windows when trying to scan multi-page PDFs. The program only scans one page and automatically stops. However, it works fine without ActKey by using the printer's button setting.
Can you use this app on an iMac if you have Parallels to run Windows apps?

Yes, you can use this application on iMac running Windows in Parallels, but if you plan to use it with a device, then you need to assign a PORT (usually USB) on Paralells in order to run properly. I believe the software will work normally in a Windows installation, even if it's virtualized through Paralells. I can't say the same for Wine Bottler.
To avoid other issues, make sure that all the drivers are installed properly on Paralells.
My OKI printer is a 5462 MPF. I had problems with WIFI connection and removed ActKey and wanted to reeinstall the program later having solved the WIFI problem. But the installation progam keeps saying "This setup will perform an upgrade of" - and completes the installation very quick with a FINISH - and without possibility to select a repair or reinstall. Suspect that the removal has not completed sucessfully (this text was never displayed). Did try to run unregister.exe. My opereating system is Windows 8.1 Any suggestions of how I can complete the removal and do a reinstall of ActKey?

Problem solved. Registry still contained the below reference to "utilities\actkey" after uninstallation: HKLM\Software\Classes\Installer\Products\FE28B186754A9484AACBB5069983F05A\SourceList Deleted the entry and reinstallation of ActKey could be sucessfully completed.
