So today is the day I should thank my mother for not letting my father eat me, I suppose. In truth, I think my siblings should honour me, too, for granting them rebirth from Cronus' gut.
I shall think of my sweet sisters who are the mothers of my children. Hera, the best beloved, and Demeter, honoured too.
I shall think of those who are not here - Mnemosyne, who gave me my glorious nine, and Maia and Metis and Themis and Nemesis and Eurynome and the peerless Leto. The mortal mothers I shall not forget, Aegina to Thyia, my beautiful Semele and incomparable Leda and sweet Danaë. I could go on all the day long.
And those of you who are here. Eos and Selene, so divine. And Persephone, so near perfection.
I have not forgotten you, Gaia, or our children. I shall overthrow you again. And Khaos? Well, perhaps we shall dance. What children we might have.
