ABOUT US

Who We Really Are

Let’s be honest. We’re not a massive global corporation with offices in 164 countries. We’re not powered by Ai algorithms or large software systems. And we’re not going to pretend we are.

Here’s the truth: We’re a small logistics company based in Houston, Texas, and we’re damn proud of it.

What we lack in size, we make up for in something that’s become rare in the industry: personal accountability and real customer service. When you call us, a real person answers. Not a phone tree. Not a ticketing system. Not an Ai chatbot. A human being who knows your name, understands your problem, and has the authority to fix it.

That’s who we are. That’s what we do. And if that’s what you’re looking for, keep reading.

What We Actually Do

We move critical shipments when time matters. From International ocean freight to domestic hotshot delivery and everything in between, we handle the logistics that can’t afford to go wrong.

International Shipping:

We coordinate ocean freight (full container and less-than-container loads) and air freight to get your products across borders. We handle the carrier coordination, and all the headaches that come with moving goods internationally, If you’re importing from overseas or exporting to distant markets, we’ll get it there.

Domestic Expedited:

When something needs to move fast within the United States, we make it happen. Hotshot trucks for same-day delivery. Next-flight-out air service. Dedicated vehicles that go straight from point A to point B with no stops. We serve all 48 contiguous states, plus Alaska and Canada, with full truckload (FTL) and Partial loads, less-than-truckload (LTL) options, plus expedited services when speed is everything.

Critical Industrial Shipments:

Refineries, power plants, manufacturing facilities, mining operations–we understand your world. When a valve fails during a turnaround, when a production line goes down, when equipment breaks in a remote location, you need someone who gets the urgency. We’ve moved emergency parts at 2 AM. We’ve put critical components on commercial flights as hand-carry. We’ve chartered aircraft for special project cargo. We’ve hot shot trucks of all sizes to offshore helipads for offshore platforms. Whatever it takes.

Trade Shows and Events:

Your booth has to be in Las Vegas by Monday morning, and it’s Friday afternoon. We’ve been there. We know convention center receiving hours, marshalling yards, we understand drayage requirements and we know how to make impossible deadlines work. Your reputation is on the line when you’re exhibiting–we treat it that way.

How We’re Different (And Why it Matters)

Most freight forwarders have turned logistics into a numbers game. Automated quoting systems. Centralized call centers where you talk to someone different every time. Five-step approval processes to solve simple problems. That’s not us.

One Person Owns Your Shipment. When you call OGL, you’re going to work with someone who takes personal responsibility for your freight. They answer your calls. They give you updates before you have to ask. They solve problems without escalating to three different departments. You’ll have their name, their direct number, and their commitment. That’s how logistics should work.

We make Decisions Fast. We don’t have a corporate bureaucracy. if your shipment needs special handling, we don’t need approval from so called headquarters. If we need to change carriers mid-transit, we do it. If the situation calls for creative problem-solving (like buying a seat on a commercial flight for a critical part), we have the authority and the willingness to make it happen. Action, not escalation.

24/7 Availability, Real People. Your emergencies don’t usually happen between 9 and 5, Monday through Friday. We know that. When you call us at 11PM on a Saturday because you have a customer or your company has a major issue and need to get a part now or ship a part now, you’re going to reach someone who can actually help you–not a voicemail system telling you to call back Monday morning.

We’re Judged By Our Last Shipment.

In this business, you’re only as good as your most recent delivery. One late shipment, one damaged product, one dropped ball, and you can lose a customer. We know that. It keeps us honest, keeps us focused, and keeps working harder than companies that take their customers for granted. Every single shipment matters to us because we know it matters to you.

Our “Whatever It Takes” Promise

Here’s what sets us apart from every other logistics company you’ve worked with: We will do whatever it takes to make sure your critical shipment arrives on time, every time.

That’s not marketing talk. That’s a real commitment. We’ve proven it hundreds of times:

  • When a refinery in Louisiana needed a replacement valve during a turnaround, and the supplier was in California, we dispatched a hot expedited truck and drove straight through the night. The valve arrived 14 hours later, and the turnaround stayed on schedule.
  • When a mining operation in Nevada had a critical pump failure and the replacement was in Houston, we hand-carried it on a commercial flight, rented a car at the airport, and drove it to the site ourselves. the mine was back online the next day.
  • When a trade show exhibitor’s booth materials were delayed by a carrier, we had them picked up from a terminal and had one of our trucks drive it to the convention center, unloaded the pieces that was needed at 6AM on show day. The booth opened on time.

These aren’t rare exceptions. This is how we operate. When you need something done and failure isn’t an option, we find a way. That’s the OGL difference.

Why We Stay Small (On Purpose)

We could scale up. We could hire more people, open more offices, implement more “systems and processes” and chase bigger revenue numbers. But we won’t.

Here’s why: The moment we get too big, we lose the thing that makes us valuable–personal accountability.

When you call a massive logistics company, you’re talking to someone in a call center who’s handling 50 other customers that day. They don’t know your business. they don’t remember your last shipment. they’re reading from a script and following a process. that’s not customer service. That’s customer management. We stay small so that when you call, you’re talking to someone who knows you, remembers your last shipment, understands your industry, and has the authority to solve your problem right now. We stay small so we can move fast, make decisions without committees, and treat every customer like they’re our most important customer. Small doesn’t mean limited. We have relationships and alliance agreements across the country and around the world. We can handle any size shipment, any mode of transport, any destination. But we’ll never sacrifice the personal touch that makes us who we are.

The Bottom Line

We’re not going to promise you AI-powered supply chain optimization or revolutionary logistics platforms. We’re not going to claim we’re reinventing the freight industry with cutting-edge technology.

Here’s what we will promise you:

When you call, we answer. A real person, who knows your business, who has the authority to help you.

When you have a problem, we solve it. Fast. Without excuses. Without bureaucracy.

When you have a critical shipment, we treat it like it’s critical. Because we know that to you, it is.

When we say we’ll do something, we do it. Our word is our bond. Your trust is everything. If that’s the kind of logistics partner you’re looking for, give us a call. Let’s talk about your needs, your challenges, and how we can help. No sales pitch. No pressure. Just an honest conversation about whether we’re the right fit for each other.

Because at the end of the day, logistics isn’t about systems and platforms. It’s about people keeping their promises to other people. And that’s something we take very seriously.

We breathe, eat, and sleep customer service. Because it’s the only thing that matters. Period!
