Junior Leadership Odessa

Junior Leadership Odessa is a program sponsored by the Odessa Chamber of Commerce, designed to expose high school juniors to Odessa’s resources and the many opportunities available in our community. The program promotes awareness of Odessa’s history, resources and potential and is designed to motivate and develop Odessa’s future leaders.

Leadership Odessa

The Leadership Odessa year begins in October and runs through May with members meeting once a month for briefings and sessions. Program participants will grow in awareness and understanding of the challenges and issues facing our community. They will also develop valuable contacts and communication networks within the community. Most importantly, Leadership Odessa builds confidence and motivation to become actively involved in promoting positive change for Odessa. Employers and sponsoring organizations will see increased leadership and problem-solving skills in their employees. Leadership Odessa allows doors to be opened for greater corporate/organizational community involvement and visibility and helps identify where strategic alliances might be formed.

Texas Scholars

The Texas Scholars program partners students with local organizations in providing volunteer opportunities. By the time a student graduates from high school, they will have successfully volunteered at least 50 hours of community service within Ector County. This program also motivates youth to become productive students, employees and citizens through the support and involvement in the business community. The program has now expanded to include ECISD, Compass Academy and Richard Milburn.
