About
Hi everyone!
My name is Maks. I'm a tech person from Ukraine with professional experience in IT since 2015. Over the years, I have worked across a wide range of projects, from early-stage startups to monstrous enterprises, which shaped how I think about reliability, architecture, and long-term maintainability.
My primary focus is functional programming in Scala, most often within the Typelevel ecosystem. I contribute to various open source projects and care deeply about building systems that are correct by construction and pleasant to evolve.
I also enjoy working close to infrastructure. I have hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes, and regularly use tools such as Terraform and NixOS to provision and operate systems.
In recent years, I've heavily invested in observability with OpenTelemetry in general and otel4s specifically.
Here, I share my perspective on software design and the practical lessons learned while building and operating software in the real world.
