About NTU-CF
Established in 1981, NTU Christian Fellowship is an interdenominational Christian group on campus that seeks to connect Christians and those interested in knowing more about God.
Vision
To be effective salt and light on campus and later in society upon graduation
Inspired by Matthew 5:13-16:
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Salt of the Earth
Salt is both a preservative and a seasoning agent. As Christian students, we aim to stop the growth of what is ungodly, while preserving and enhancing the values, conversations, cultures and practices that are good in the university. As ambassadors of Christ, we aim to be distinctly Christian in the way we engage with every aspect of life.
Light of the World
Christ calls us the light of the world. We aspire to shine the light of Christ, to illuminate the truth and to bear a beacon of bright hope to all who dwell in darkness. In the university, we aspire to touch many lives as we witness for Christ.
Effective Salt and Light
To be effective salt and light, we must be in contact with the fish we are to season and preserve, as well as the darkness that is to be illuminated. That involves being immersed in the life of the university and committed to its flourishing. Both in word and in deed, in our lives and in the university, we hope to live as people of blessing—as salt and light.
We aspire for CFers to emerge from university a mature Christian, rooted in God’s word and ready to bear witness wherever God leads them. We hope CF is a place where they can really learn to live out their faith.
Thus, we eagerly invite every member to be involved in CF’s community, to engage frequently with scripture, to develop a firm grasp of the Bible as the foundation of their thinking, to fellowship, serve, pray and grow alongside other Christian students whose hearts are for Christ.
We challenge our members to engage the campus humbly yet boldly, and to understand what it means for them to be effective salt and light on campus and later in society upon graduation.

NTU-CF upholds the fundamental truths of the Christian faith.
The divine inspiration and infallibility of the Holy Bible as originally given and canonised in its present form, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The unity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the Fall, rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the shedding of blood in the sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
Salvation from eternal condemnation by grace through faith alone in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and His Ascension into Heaven.
The mediation between God and man only through the Lord Jesus Christ, our Advocate.
The presence of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory.
We are committed to the good news of Jesus Christ as revealed in the whole Bible, which is the Word of God, the truth that charts the way to life and directs our conduct.
Our Fellowship, as part of the universal Church, exists to provide a united witness for Christ on campus. We are committed to serve the local churches by training and equipping our members for service.
We are committed to student initiative, responsibility and leadership in our ministry.
We are committed to celebrating the diversity of different denominations and churches. This is done on the basis of their subscription to the doctrinal basis of the Fellowship and their commitment to the aims of the Fellowship.
We are committed to the wholistic development of a person, working towards maturity and Christ-likeness in all areas of life.
We are committed to the good news of Jesus Christ by demonstrating the integration of faith and life. This includes the proclamation and demonstration of the gospel in all areas of life and across cultural and geographical boundaries.

Affiliation
NTU-CF is affiliated to a larger, national organisation known as the Fellowship of Evangelical Students (FES) Singapore. FES Singapore is in turn affiliated to the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES), which consists of an international movement of student ministries with a presence in over 150 countries.
FES is an interdenominational organisation that serves God among tertiary students and graduates in Singapore. FES seeks to strengthen their faith and nurture their love for Christ so that they may reach out to the rest of their respective campuses for Him. The mission of FES is to be a faithful evangelical witness on campus and in society, moulding disciples of Jesus Christ who will be effective salt and light of the world.
Under the umbrella of FES Singapore, there are other student ministries in tertiary institutions such as NUS, SIM, polytechnics and other private institutions. With the affiliation of NTU-CF to FES, the fellowship is then naturally and committedly part of the larger body of student ministries in Singapore.
