Beyond Binary is NTU Women in Tech’s flagship inclusive techathon, bringing together students from local universities to ideate, build, and innovate through both an Ideathon and a Hackathon.

Designed to welcome participants of all technical backgrounds, Beyond Binary provides a platform for collaboration, learning, and impact-driven problem solving—whether you enjoy coding full-stack solutions or crafting strong product and strategy ideas.

Participants can choose between two tracks:

  • Hackathon Track – Build and prototype technical solutions through design and code.

  • Ideathon Track – Focus on ideation, problem framing, innovation, and pitching impactful concepts.

Throughout the event, participants will gain access to exclusive industry-led workshops, including:

  • AWS – Generative AI Chatbots

  • Squarepoint Capital – Web Scraping Techniques

You’ll also get the opportunity to network with engineers, product leaders, and industry professionals from organisations such as Jane Street, IMDA, Squarepoint, AWS, and Powers, and compete for a total prize pool of $10,000.

Team Formation
  • Teams of 2–5 members

  • Each team must include at least one female-identifying member

  • Open to students from all local universities
