WORLD 2.0: Smarter Machines, Faster Evidence, Same Egos

22 March, 2026

In her debut TEDx Talk, delivered at TEDxMSU, Nthanda Manduwi explores one of the defining questions of the 21st century:
What happens when knowledge becomes abundant, evidence becomes accessible, and artificial intelligence allows humanity to learn faster than ever before?
Drawing from her upbringing in post-colonial Malawi, her work in international development, and her experiences in evaluation and knowledge management, Manduwi examines the relationship between technology, evidence, institutions, and human behaviour.
The talk introduces themes that are explored more deeply throughout the Lessons book series, including governance, development, incentives, institutional learning, and the future of global cooperation.
Key Themes:
Artificial Intelligence and Evidence Synthesis
International Development and Institutional Learning
Post-Colonial States and Agency
Leadership, Incentives, and Human Behaviour
The Future of Global Cooperation
Building World 2.0
