JOIN NRB

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) is a nonpartisan, international association of Christian communicators whose member organizations represent millions of listeners, viewers, and readers. NRB works to protect the free speech rights of our members by advocating those rights in governmental, corporate, and media sectors, and works to foster excellence, integrity, and accountability in our membership by providing networking, educational, ministry, and relational opportunities. NRB membership equips you to share the Gospel with clarity, courage, and creativity on every platform God has entrusted to you. Together, we reflect Christ to the world and advance His Kingdom with excellence.

About NRB Membership

Together for Christ

One of NRB’s greatest strengths is the diversity of its membership. NRB members are an exciting blend of all forms of electronic mass media, including radio and television stations, program producers, film companies, worship technologies, media arts, music broadcasting, internet communications, emerging technologies, churches, educational institutions, and affiliated agencies that support religious broadcasters. The association embraces new media as it emerges, continuing to grow in ways that expand access for the Gospel.

The unity that NRB members share is grounded in the shared bond through the Person and work of Jesus Christ. The association endeavors to strengthen that unity and create opportunities for members to forge strong, lifetime bonds. NRB strives to function much like the Apostle Paul’s intention toward the Colossians: “My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding” (Colossians 2:2).

Defending the Gospel

Since 1944, NRB has been in the forefront of the battle to keep the doors of electronic media open for the spread of the Gospel. As that battle continues to heat up, we work diligently to protect and preserve the rights of Christian broadcasters. We do this in the halls of Congress, with regulatory agencies such as the FCC, in the courts, and within the executive branch.

Founded to expand access to the airwaves, to promote education and training, and to foster networking opportunities among fellow Christian communicators, NRB exists to be your partner in advancing the Gospel.

Unless actively defended, our religious liberties quickly erode. NRB emerged from a critical moment when religious freedom was under threat—a challenge that continues in new forms today. Members rely on NRB for support, connection, and strategic representation in key legislative, legal, and regulatory arenas regarding access to electronic media platforms and the freedom to proclaim the Gospel.

    What our members are saying

“Early on, [NRB] provided the platform to help me understand the broadcast industry from the faith perspective and receive encouragement as a young broadcaster from many seasoned saints. Strategically, NRB provided an opportunity to know many of the broadcasters I would welcome to my station and ultimately come to know as friends. Simply, NRB was an encouragement to me throughout my life. I would not be the person I am today without NRB.”

    – Joe Battaglia, Founder & CEO of Renaissance Communications, Inc.

“In my 46-year career in Christian media, I’ve only had three employers. As it turns out, all three were NRB Hall of Famers. See, this is what NRB is all about. Our colleagues, our mentors, our employers, are men and women of great faith who invest in our lives so that we ‘go and do likewise.’”

    – Roger Kemp, President of RK Media

“We have had the privilege of working with NRB for many years now, and we are grateful for their voice and their influence for biblical values in our culture. Through NRB, we have grown relationships with other likeminded Christ followers and have increased our ministry’s impact. Many of our relationships, vendors, and media resources are a result of participating in the NRB annual conference. This has directly impacted our content creation.”

    – Pastor Allen Jackson, TV & Radio Host

“The issues in America right now are not political; they’re spiritual. And that’s why…NRB is so vital right now because we can get this message across. If we can solve the spiritual issue, then all the rest will take place.”

    –  Sheldon Livesay, Founder and Ministry Leader at Of One Accord, Appalachian Christian Network

“Every one of my connections happened at NRB.”

    – Dr. Marla Woodmansee, TV host
