Allen McAdam – A seasoned company director and former Local Development and EU funding agency manager. Allen has served on numerous boards including the International Fund for Ireland, the Ulster Scots Agency, and Monaghan LEO. Since 2006, he has assisted over 300 businesses and community organisations in securing grant funding and investment. Allen leads on product development, sales, marketing, and installations.
Julie McAdam– Julie is co-founder and brings financial acumen from her background in banking and agri-trading. She serves as Financial Controller and manages all aspects of office administration and customer service.
The company began as a footfall counter hire service in 2012 using 40 imported devices to support consultancy work in economic appraisal and infrastructure evaluation in Ireland and UK. After early experiences with unreliable, expensive remote equipment and poor supplier support, we identified a gap in the market for a more robust, affordable, and remote data solution suited to harsh conditions.
As a company we invest heavily in product development using the most up to date and pioneering technologies available and bringing them at an affordable price point to the end user. In a rapidly changing global landscape we looking forward to the next chapter in the expansion of our family business and our message is clear to prospective customers ‘If you cant measure it, you can’t manage it’.
2018: First-generation NOMAD unit launched (2G/3G, cloud-connected)
2019–2020: Second-generation hardware released with improved performance and small-batch production
2024: Third-generation unit introduced – supports CAT-M1 and NB-IoT networks with GSM fallback; adaptable to multiple sensor types and optimized for remote, low-connectivity environments, OTA firmware updates. European distributors appointed.
2025: Nomad Analytics, Inc company formed in Cleveland, OH to service the North American market. Data analysis platform enhanced to support 9 languages, all timezones worldwide and advanced reporting options.
Sustainability at the very heart of our business and we are proud of our environmental credentials. Our products are designed to ensure sustainability and 95% of our housings are recycled or naturally occurring materials. Batteries have long life and all our equipment is ultra-low power.
