Welcome to NIGHTPOETRY! I am an American poet, archaeologist, photographer and musician who has worked and lived in Europe for more than 40 years. I attended university in the United States taking a B.A. degree with a major in English Literature and Creative Writing. My interests are many and varied, ranging from scientific studies, literature, poetry, music, art, archaeology and astronomy to traveling and immersing myself in European culture.  In my spare time I have doubled as a roadie for a number of groups and performed in many bands through the years, lots of blues, jazz and rock and presently I am the lead singer in a Doors tribute band and am the co-founder of the jazz-poetry ensemble called NIGHTPOETS that is currently hibernating. On this blog you will find a potpourri of my poetry, prose, photography, archaeological endeavours, musical undertakings, perspectives, thoughts, insights and a smattering of liberal politics. All of the poetry and, unless otherwise credited, all of the photography and digital images are my own creations. Thanks for stopping by….

      Thank you so much the honour and your kind praise, unfortunately I just do not have the time at the moment to do all the things required to get the award (finding the 11 blogs, informing them, thinking up and asking 11 questions etc.). Perhaps when things slow down a bit I can find the time later, but right now, meeting the requirements for the award just isn’t possible. I sincerely thank you for the consideration and hope that you will understand…
