I am a feminist, humanist, and technologist.
As Professor of Global Media & Culture at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Director of the Digital Narratives Studio, I connect research, teaching, and public engagement to foster radical hope for collective action.
My research is in emerging technologies, and looking at the historical creation as well as future implications of their emergence, and their disproportionate impact on vulnerable and marginalized communities.
I actively translate critical research into structures of pedagogy, training, workshops, lectures, and teaching, for multi-stakeholder partners committed to building futures of repair and inclusion.
I have experience and expertise in working with and advising philanthropy organisations and multi-lateral institutions to convene, create, and catalyse, communities and networks across the Global South, to build movements and spaces of knowledge production.
