Myanmar Bans Sale and Possession of Vapes

Myanmar has banned the sale, import and possession of vaping products. The law prohibits “importation, exportation, sale, possession, storage, carrying, distribution, use and consumption” of e-cigarettes, vape accessories, and electronic shisha products. Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, has had no specific law regarding vapes until now, although the military-controlled government has sometimes seized shipments of vapes entering the country.

Is Vaping More Harmful than Smoking Cigarettes? More People Incorrectly Think So

A growing number of U.S. adults consider electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) more harmful than conventional cigarettes. The findings, by researchers from the UT Southwestern Medical Center and published in Nicotine and Tobacco Research, could have significant implications for public health policymakers, tobacco control strategies, and people who use either of these cigarette types.
