Dr. Norman Geisler, PhD.
Co-Founder
The late Dr. Norman Geisler was known as the premiere apologist of the 20th century. He developed a three-tiered model that integrates apologetics, philosophy, and theology, and over a 60 year career in ministry he mentored or influenced many of today’s top Christian leaders. He is the author of over a hundred books that have impacted the foundations of modern Christianity, including “The 12 Points that Show Christianity is True.” In practical terms, Norm was the first to see the value in using a classical, two-step apologetic approach as opposed to merely an evidential approach in witnessing to a postmodern generation.
As a leading member of the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy, his influence was crucial to building a bedrock for the church to stand on through the drafting of the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy. He founded the International Society of Christian Apologetics, and co-founded two seminaries: Southern Evangelical Seminary, and Veritas Evangelical Seminary, now called Veritas International University.
In 2015, Dr. Norman Geisler and his son David co-founded Norm Geisler International Ministries, and in 2018 they launched the ministry’s discipleship arm, the Norm Geisler Institute.
Dr. Norman Geisler held a B.A. in Philosophy from Wheaton College, an M.A. in Theology from Wheaton Graduate School, a Th.B. from William Tyndale College, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Loyola University.
Dr. David Geisler
President, Co-founder
Building on what his father taught him, David has developed new paradigms of integrating and applying apologetics with evangelism. Together with his late father, Dr. Norman Geisler, David co-authored the book “Conversational Evangelism,” which has since been translated into six languages. David is currently pioneering a 4 R’s model (Rooted, Rested, Ready, Reaching) that integrates apologetics, evangelism, and discipleship, based in part on what David also learned from his friend and mentor Rev. Edmund Chan.
David speaks internationally, offering seminars, training and certificate programs in both his father’s 12 Points and his Conversational Evangelism models. He encourages Christians to reframe apologetics from a 1 Peter 3:15 model, “be ready to give a defense”, to a Matthew 13:23 model, “cultivating good soil.” Using discipleship principles, David motivates the body of Christ to use apologetic tools in sharing the faith in culturally, personally, and spiritually sensitive ways.
Serving as a missionary in Asia from 2004-2011, David trained over 300 bible and seminary students in practical apologetics, many who are now pastors and missionaries all over Asia. He holds a Master in Biblical Studies and a Master in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministries in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He helped develop a national pilot program for skeptical students with Campus Crusade for Christ (now called CRU) from 1994-1999. He teaches in various seminaries around the globe and as an adjunct professor at both of the seminaries his father founded: Southern Evangelical Seminary and Veritas International University. He also serves on the leadership panel for Intentional Discipleship Making Conferences (IDMC), founded by Rev. Edmund Chan.

Brian Henson
Director of Youth Apologetics and Evangelism
With a mission for leading young people to Christ, and establishing them in their faith, Brian Henson developed his series “Grounded”. This series gives seekers of truth an unshakeable foundation, and trains them to impact the culture for Christ. “Grounded” is a dynamic teaching series on how to uproot a naturalistic worldview, and replace it with a rational and factual Christian faith.
Brian is the director of youth apologetics and evangelism for Norm Geisler International Ministries (NGIM). Brian became a Christian his freshman year at East Carolina University where he majored in Religious Studies, History, and Anthropology (1999). As a young Christian, his faith was severely challenged at college and he began to doubt that Christianity was true. The experience taught him the importance of defending his faith and he dedicated his life to studying and teaching apologetics.
He received a MA in Biblical Archaeology from Wheaton College (2001) and spent six months studying at Jerusalem University College in Israel. He has a second MA in Christian Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary (2011) and a doctor of ministry degree in Christian Apologetics from Veritas International University (2022). Brian has been a full time high school Bible teacher since 2001. He currently teaches at Charlotte Christian School and is a professor of Apologetics and Theology at Veritas International University. He has taught courses on Old Testament, New Testament, Christian Theology, World Religions, Logic, Debate, Apologetics, the Gospel & Culture, and Evangelism. He speaks at conferences, camps, universities, and churches around the world to youth and parents through NGIM. He now lives in Matthews, NC with his wife Gabriela and their three children. Brian’s passion is to lead people to Christ and to train them to properly define, defend, share, and apply the faith in order to ground them in the faith and to equip them to impact their families and culture for Christ.

Roberto lozano
Director of NGIM Latin America
Roberto Lozano already serves as pastor and Christian educator with broad cross-cultural and academic experience. as the new director of the the Norm Geisler Institute in Latin America, he will equip pastors and emerging leaders to think biblically, engage culture wisely, and present the gospel clearly, strenghtening the church through faithful, evangelisitc apologetics rooted in Scripture and classical Christian thought.
By way of background, I am a Christian with Jewish heritage on my mother’s side. My grandmother, a Polish Jew, was a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps during World War II, an experience that profoundly shaped my family’s history and my understanding of truth, human dignity, and moral responsibility. I was born in Venezuela and earned my degree in Civil Engineering from a Venezuelan military university. I later completed an MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, a Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics at Liberty University, and I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) at Southern Evangelical Seminary. I serve as pastor of Iglesia Bautista La Gracia in New Paris, Indiana, and Iglesia Bíblica Bautista de Cromwell, Indiana. In addition, I teach Systematic Theology and Christian Apologetics at two seminaries, one in the United States and one in Chile, as well as at a Bible institute in Mexico. This combination of pastoral ministry, academic formation, and cross-cultural experience shapes the way I approach my role with Norm Geisler Institute.
Latin America is a region historically influenced by the Catholic Church and Marxist ideology, and is now experiencing a rapidly growing secularism that increasingly marginalizes biblical Christianity. In this context, NGI has a unique opportunity to contribute positively by helping shape leaders grounded in the Judeo-Christian worldview that has historically formed Western civilization, its understanding of truth, morality, human dignity, and reason.
To promote NGI’s priorities in Latin America, I envision a deliberate combination of doctrinal training, practical ministry engagement, and relational leadership development. The primary focus will be pastors and church leaders, while also equipping theology and apologetics students who represent the next generation of teachers and influencers. This approach will employ scalable Spanish-language digital training, church-based instruction, and strategic partnerships with seminaries and Bible institutes. Central to this effort is an apologetic approach that serves the gospel, with conversational evangelism functioning as the primary bridge between sound theology and real-life mission. The goal is not to create academic specialists detached from ministry, but leaders who can listen well, respond wisely, and present Christ clearly in everyday conversations.
My goals for NGI in Latin America are to build a sustainable ministry that strengthens the church over the long term and produces measurable impact. This includes developing doctrinally faithful and pastorally effective training programs in Spanish; identifying and equipping local leaders who can multiply NGI’s apologetic and evangelistic approach within their own contexts; and establishing strategic partnerships that extend NGI’s reach and influence.
Thank you for your prayers, partnership, and continued support. I look forward to what the Lord will do as we seek to serve His Church in Latin America through the work of the Norm Geisler Institute.
In Christ,
Roberto Lozano
