Who We Are
Remodeling and Building in Las Vegas for 30+Years
We are a General Contractor here in the state of Nevada, licensed to do business in the city of Las Vegas, Henderson, Clark county and North Las Vegas. You may ask why hire a General contractor? General contractors are required to be licensed and bonded because they can build structures and add structures. This is a requirement for obtaining a building permit, so if our customers like you want to add a new bedroom, bathroom or RV garage, we will have all the credentials to do that for you.
We have a type B2 Contractors license which allows us to build your home from the ground up. We do room additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, complete home renovations, design builds, patio covers, RV garages, commercial and tenant improvements.
In addition to our B2 License we also have a B-6 license for Commercial Remodelling. This license allows us to engage in the remodelling and improvement of interior spaces in commercial structures, including those exceeding three stories in height and buildings connected to structures over three stories.
JOHN NEWTON
Our Owner John Newton, President of Newton Construction LLC. John has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and has been part of every phase in the building process. He first served 4 years in the United States Army and was trained as a mechanic. After leaving the Army, John was then hired on as a laborer on a construction site. With more involvement and dedication John sharpened his skills as a carpenter and became a framer, working his way up to a superintendent. Over the years John has received the Superintendent of the Year award several times. John used these years of hands on experience to now manage the many details of his residential and commercial projects. John holds a contractors license in the state of Nevada and is very proficient from small bath remodels to full custom builds and much more. John is very friendly and has great design ideas and works closely with his customers listening to their ideas and vision for their project.
TRACY ACKERMAN-NEWTON
After a rewarding 35-year career in Occupational Therapy, Tracy retired, and joined her husband full time at Newton Construction LLC in her new role as Office manager, and customer relations. In addition, Tracy uses her art background to assist customers in the designing of their projects.
Tracy and John are car and motorcycle enthusiasts, love camping, music and spending time with family and friends. John and Tracy have four children Jessica, Dillon, Justine, and Brandon, and let’s not forget their dogs Jeter and Harley.
